Going LIVE with Fabulous Friends – Find Your Wedding Dress with Hannah McLennan from Bride by Aster

For many brides finding the all important wedding dress can be pretty daunting!

Believe me – I’ve been there!

Sadly, when I was looking for my wedding dress 17 years ago, I did not have a good experience. As a curvy bride I felt self conscious about my curves instead of embracing them as I do today! I struggled to find a dress shop with dresses anywhere near to my size – the range of sizes was so limited. And as a tall bride I knew I would need extra length added. I went to several shops and didn’t find anything I liked. Finally I found something I liked and ordered it in my size and with extra length. However, when it arrived it didn’t have the extra length ordered and there wasn’t enough time to get a replacement! Disaster! I just had to live with it!

In the process of buying my dress, I learnt how important it is to work with someone who:

* understands you

* gets you

* and SEES you

You need that reassurance and someone on your side. These qualities are just as important for every single vendor you work with to bring your wedding to life…including celebrants!

Fast forward 15 years and I met the fabulous Hannah McLennan (from Bride by Aster) when she pulled together a fantastic wedding fair which included yours truly. I remember watching how Hannah helped nervous brides look at dresses. Her refreshing approach captured me. I wish she had been around 17 years ago!
