A Pride Themed Wedding Ceremony – and the first in a long time!

My first wedding since March 2020 was scorcher and a stonker! So hot that I had to completely ditch my gorgeous rainbow jacket and glitter DMs!

Jackie and Rachel are so in love and have patiently waited for this day for a very long time. They’d had to adjust their plans from a festival style weekend wedding complete with a drag queen and lots of surprises. As the pandemic dragged on their desire to just get married and move forward grew. While still facing restrictions on numbers of guests, this football mad (Saints all the way), fun-loving pair decided to change the direction of their celebrations.

They moved their venue to Norton Park Hotel – perfect for me as it’s 5 minutes from home! Led by Sarah-Jane, the team at the hotel went out of their way to make sure everyone had an amazing day. Having taken care of the legals earlier in the day, Jackie and Rachel arrived with their families ready to have the ceremony they had long dreamt of. Wearing custom made suits complete with pride themed trainers, the girls were SO so happy!

Jackie and Rachel’s Pride themed ceremony incorporated a family hand-fasting which included their children (love them!) as a symbolic way to recognise their blended family. They then exchanged rings and heartfelt vows – and yes we ALL cried!

I am SO thrilled that they’ve tied the knot at last and look forward to a lifetime of happiness. It was such an honour to be their celebrant! They’re just ace! Pub date soon girls!
