Nestled in the heart of the Surrey countryside, Millbridge Court in Frensham is a home away from home on your wedding day. This uber chic country home offers a luxurious experience to all who walk through it’s doors..

My family lived in the village nearly 40 years ago and since then, the property has changed hands several times. In the past it’s been used as a hotel and coffee shop. It’s current use is by far it’s best and shows this beautiful building off in the most stylish of ways!

I recently had the opportunity to visit Millbridge and learn more about their philosophy from one of their highly experienced event managers. With so many wedding venues to choose from, often the process of booking your venue can be stressful. And for venues, standing out in a crowd has become more important than ever! What struck me about Millbridge is their deep desire to make sure that you instantly feel like you’re ‘at home.’ . Given that Millbridge does many weddings a year, the in-house event planners have got organising your ‘home away from home’ down to a fine art.

Contemporary touches meld seamlessly with classic and nordic elements. There is a sense of space coupled with a golden light that washes over every corner – inside and out. Unique spaces including a glamorous Pamper Room – complete with well lit mirrors and space for every member of the wedding party – help everyone to feel pampered and a part of a luxurious experience. The reception room seems so spacious when empty but allows you to put your own stamp on your day with plenty of options for decorations. Kalm Kitchen provide all the catering at Millbridge and having experienced their amazing creativity on a plate – you’re in for a treat!

In terms of ceremony space, both indoor and outdoor spaces are offered. The beautiful garden complete with covered arbour provides a fantastic outdoor space for both the ceremony and those all important photos. On the day I visited it was snowing which make the entire garden feel ethereal…and beautiful for a wedding, even in the cold. Inside there is a ceremony room which is heated and air conditioned (which came in very useful last Summer!) and has a complete sound system. Both spaces can accommodate up to 150 guests. Couples have the choice for their ceremony, whether they opt for a local picturesque church, a celebrant or registrar led.

The romantic and stylish Hideaway is nestled at the bottom of the garden, offering the happy couple privacy and luxury for their wedding night. I wanted to dive in the freestanding copper bath! There are 7 guest bedrooms in the main house so that your nearest and dearest have a place to rest their heads before enjoying breakfast together in the Breakfast Room the next morning.

Millbridge offers an all in one service. They only partner companies and people who they know will provide you with just as special an experience as they do. One of their partners is Sarah Legge Photography who generously provided the photos for this article. Thanks Sarah!
