Glasto is upon us!

This weekend thousands of revellers will gather at the iconic Glastonbury once again. The festival is one of the biggest and most famous music festivals in the world. It’s known for its colourful atmosphere, free-spirited vibe, and diverse musical lineup. So, if you and your partner are music and festival lovers, why not plan a festival themed wedding?

I LOVE festival themed weddings! All the colourful, fun and creative vibes!

Here are some tips and ideas to help you plan your perfect Festival themed wedding:

1. Venue: Choose a venue that matches the festival vibe. An outdoor venue with plenty of greenery and space is ideal. A barn or a rustic farm would also work well.

2. Colours: Glastonbury is known for its colourful and vibrant atmosphere. Use bright and bold colours like pink, orange, yellow, and green to create a festive and lively atmosphere.

3. Flowers: Choose wildflowers, sunflowers, and other bright blooms to add colour and texture.

4. Ceremony: Work with a Celebrant (like me!) to create a unique, colourful and fun ceremony incorporating music, personal vows, your love story and symbolic elements such as the ultimate Handfasting!

5. Food and drink: Festivals are known for their food and drink stalls. You can have food trucks or stalls at your wedding serving festival-style food like burgers, hot dogs, and pizzas. For drinks, you can have a bar serving beer, cocktails, and other festival favourites.

6. Music: Music is the heart of any good festival. Hire a live band or DJ to play festival-style music to keep your guests entertained and dancing all night long.

7. Dress code: Encourage your guests to dress up in festival-style attire. Think flower crowns, denim shorts, and bohemian-style dresses.

8. Decorations: Use festival-inspired decorations like bunting, fairy lights, and colourful lanterns to create a festive and lively atmosphere.

9. Games and activities: Set up games and activities like a photo booth, face painting, and henna tattoos to keep your guests entertained.

These ideas and more are just what Ellie and Hayden brought to there #fossfest wedding last Summer – and it was SO much fun!

A Festival themed wedding is perfect for couples who love music, festivals, and a free-spirited vibe. With these tips and ideas, you can plan a wedding that is fun, festive, and memorable for everyone involved.
