My Dream Wedding Venue

I think it’s fair to say that all of us working in the wedding industry have worked in some incredible venues. Personally my ideal venue has a touch of quirky, rustic, charm and a little bit of glamour. I’m mostly a country girl with the occasional city twist or drama.

Recently I’ve been thinking about my dream venues – those where I have yet to do a wedding ceremony!

It was very difficult to choose and I couldn’t get it down to just one so have two – one here in the UK and the other in France where I sometimes do weddings near our family home. 

Wilton’s Music Hall in London has a rich history of entertaining and delighting people. A dramatic music hall with a rich history dating back to the 1690s, this venue is sure to knock the socks off your guests. And who doesn’t like a flair for the dramatic and that WOW factor?! I’d love to do a wedding ceremony at this atmospheric location. Just a short walk from the River Thames and The Tower of London, there is huge scope to create a unique and beautiful ceremony. 

The Dordogne in South West France is a little slice of heaven to our family. We’ve had a home there for over 30 years. I didn’t appreciate the area as a teenager but nowadays it really is home to us – and we don’t get to spend as much time there as we’d like!! I’ve done a few destination weddings at venues across SW France but one venue that I’d love to do a wedding at is at Chateau de Lacoste near Castelnaud – just a few minutes from our cottage.

Located in the heart of the Périgord Noir and in the Dordogne valley, the 18th century Château de Lacoste opens its doors to you to celebrate your big day with exclusive use. You can hold your wedding ceremony indoors, in the small chapel or outside with the most incredible backdrop view across the valley. Weddings here last all week!
